In 1986, I was living in New York City and pursuing a career in dance and theatre when I suffered a severe back injury; until then I had never experienced the benefits of massage therapy nor had I considered it more than a relaxing luxury. That was before I went for my first treatment. Not only did therapeutic massage help me fully recover, but it opened my eyes to the power of touch and the importance of balance, both mentally and physically, in one's life. Needless to say, that first massage altered my career path, and sent me on a journey that has provided far more than an occupation.

I have always been thankful for the varying paths that life has sent me on, perhaps never more so than when the opportunity arose to purchase the college from our founder, Ruth Campbell. Ruth laid a strong foundation based on the pursuit of excellence and compassion for others. This philosophy continues to guide all our decisions today.
